Hello, I'm Lorenzo
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. An expat residing in Florence, Italy.
Several years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Italy wasn't in the long-range plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding— unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than anticipated.
The Adjustment Phase
Culture shock, doubt, and hands-on learning were part of the process. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that worked for us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Created NeutralMossWay
Much online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Italy.
What This Site Represents (And What It Isn't)
This site is:
- Practical experience gained from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- A tourism-authority resource
- A sponsored-review platform
- A generic travel blog
Going Forward
Our stay in Italy continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I'll keep recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Florence or anywhere in Italy, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Lorenzo
